Tour of the main archaeological complexes of the ancient Inca capital. From the Sacsayhuamán fortress you will get a panoramic view of the city; You will continue through Qenqo (ceremonial center), Puka Pukara (military control) and Tambomachay (sacred fountains).

We depart early towards the Taray viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley. We continue to Pisac, known for its impressive agricultural terraces and vibrant artisan market. In Urubamba, we enjoy a buffet lunch before visiting the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, a masterful example of Inca architecture and engineering. In the late afternoon, we board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we check into our hotel and rest for the next day’s adventure.

Day 03
Machu Picchu → Cusco
Day 03 Machu Picchu → Cusco
After breakfast, we will take a bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu (2,400 m a.s.l.), one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Our guide will take us on a 2-hour tour through the Temple of the Sun, the agricultural terraces, the sacred enclosures, and the main plazas. We will have free time for photography and contemplation. Afterwards, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, with an optional visit to the hot springs, before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo and continuing by bus to Cusco, arriving at approximately 21:00.

Route: Cusco · Cusipata · Vinicunca · Cusco Distance: 7 km | Altitude: 3,300–5,200 m asl. | Difficulty: Moderate–Challenging Exit: 04:00–04:30 am. | Return: ~6:00 p.m.
Breakfast in Cusipata (3,300 m) before the 1.5–2 hour hike to the top of Vinicunca. At the summit, alpacas, vicuñas and unique colors coexist with the majestic view of the snow-capped Ausangate. Breakfast and lunch included.
