Itinerary

Day 01 City Tour Cusco

Route: Sacsayhuamán · Qenqo · Puka Pukara · Tambomachay · Plaza de Armas Altitude: 3,399–3,700 m asl. | Difficulty: Easy

Tour of the main archaeological complexes of the ancient Inca capital. From the Sacsayhuamán fortress you will get a panoramic view of the city; You will continue through Qenqo (ceremonial center), Puka Pukara (military control) and Tambomachay (sacred fountains).

Day 02 Super Sacred Valley

Route: Cusco · Chinchero · Moray · Maras · Urubamba · Ollantaytambo · Pisac · Cusco Distance: ~150 km | Altitude: 2,871–3,762 m asl. | Difficulty: Moderate Exit: 06:30 am. | Return: ~7:00 p.m.

Explore Chinchero and its Andean textiles, the circular platforms of Moray (Inca agricultural laboratory) and more than 5,000 salt pools in Maras. In the afternoon, tour Ollantaytambo and its Temple of the Sun, and end at the Pisac craft market. Buffet lunch included in Urubamba.

Day 03 Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)

Route: Cusco · Cusipata · Vinicunca · Cusco Distance: 7 km | Altitude: 3,300–5,200 m asl. | Difficulty: Moderate–Challenging Exit: 04:00–04:30 am. | Return: ~6:00 p.m.

Breakfast in Cusipata (3,300 m) before the 1.5–2 hour hike to the top of Vinicunca. At the summit, alpacas, vicuñas and unique colors coexist with the majestic view of the snow-capped Ausangate. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 04 Humantay Lagoon

Route: Cusco · Mollepata · Soraypampa · Humantay Lagoon · Cusco Distance: 6 km | Altitude: 3,400–4,250 m asl. | Difficulty: Moderate Exit: 03:30–04:00 am. | Return: ~6:30 p.m.

Breakfast in Mollepata before the 1.5 hour walk to the lagoon. Its turquoise waters reflect the snow-capped Salkantay in a landscape of absolute tranquility. Free time for photographs and rest. Breakfast and lunch included.
